Bettie Meinel
Bettie has been a resident of the Laurel Hollow, Cold Spring Harbor and Huntington area for the past 33 years and has been active in the community on many levels. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Family Service League of Suffolk County, she served 8 years on the Executive Committee and 3 years as President. Bettie has been active in school districts in the area.
As a licensed Associate Broker for the past 19 years, Bettie has sold homes and helped to market homes from East Norwich to Setauket. She has earned the Certified Residential Broker Designation, Certified Residential Specialists Designation, Graduate Real Estate Institute Designation, Leadership Training Graduate Designation, and has completed Fine Homes & Estates training. Recognizing that technology would play a key role in the real estate market, acquiring the necessary skills to best serve buyers and sellers became top priority and has earned the ePro Designation.
Bettie has served on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Board of Realtors and is presently a Director for the New York State Association of Realtors, North Shore Chapter Board of Directors for the Long Island Board of Realtors, past president of the Long Island Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors and is a Director for the National Association of Realtors. She serves on the Long Island Board of Realtors Education Committee and has served as chairperson, the Professional Standards and Grievance Committee, Realtor's Political and Legislative Committee. Additionally, Bettie has served on Long Range Planning Committee, Budget & Finance Committee, and the Technology Committee.
As Vice President of Career Development for our company, Bettie has her "finger on the pulse" of changes in our industry, albeit consumer related, company/agent rules and regulations related, or the most innovative ideas for continued growth and success of our 500 plus agents. She interviews all agents seeking association with our company and oversees our Laffey Academy Training program for both new and experienced agents.
