Emmett Laffey is the driving force behind the success of the Laffey Organization. Emmett’s vision of a real one stop shop for home buyers and sellers was further realized by the launch of Laffey.com. This innovative website, www.Laffey.com, has established itself as Long Island's premier search engine for residential property listings. Over 150,000 unique visitors log on each month viewing over 1.5 million pages. Laffey.com contains over 30,000 residential listings for sale with over 110,000 photos and thousands of virtual home tours.

In 2003, Mr. Laffey created Luxury Homes International, the ultimate luxury home marketing program utilizing the size and scope of the Cendant Corporation to market luxury real estate to buyers and brokers around the world. Since 1997, luxury home sales of properties $1.5 Million and greater exceeds $1.8 Billion.

In 2005, Emmett had the honor of being recognized as one of the 40 Business People under the age of 40 based on his contributions to the economic landscape on Long Island in addition to his most recent award as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Long Islanders by the Long Island Business News. This publication spotlights the people who shape the political and economic landscape of Long Island.

Apart from his professional life, Mr. Laffey has also been keenly aware of the importance of philanthropic endeavors. In 2001, he was recipient of the Humanitarian of The Year Award at The Cathedral of St. John the Devine in New York City by The Interfaith Committee of Remembrance. Emmett also has taken an active role in supporting The American Cancer Society's "Making Strides against Breast Cancer" on Long Island. Moreover, he and his brothers have made Easter Seals the official corporate charity. Under their guidance, through fundraising programs and participating in Walk-A-Thons.
