John Schoonmaker
John Schoonmaker, Executive Vice President, is responsible for professional business development of its strategic partners, and strategic markets (talent acquisition, relationship management) and operations (technology, productivity and project planning). John comes to Laffey from OnPoint Partners, a national executive search and consulting firm, where he served as President, and brings more than a dozen years of industry and management experience.
As President of OnPoint, John was responsible for the day to day operations of the firm including staffing, training, vendor management, marketing and business development. During his career, John successfully developed OnPoint’s National Managed Care Consulting Practice, providing services including network development, competitive discount analysis and hospital/ancillary contract negotiations. Leveraging his managed care background, John brought OnPoint into the forefront to become a leader in outsourced solutions for the managed care payers and spearheaded the provider strategic solutions division. John earned his BA in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from SUNY Albany. He resides with his wife and two children in Port Washington.
